There’s one Premier League match on tonight against Liverpool and Aston Villa. After already losing one game Liverpool will want the three points on offer tonight. In Villa’s previous game they put on a pretty bad performance so unless they improve dramatically tonight it looks like Liverpool will take the home win.
Liverpool is odds on to win at 2/5. (William Hill) If Villa improves their performance they may be in with a chance after their last win at Anfield in 2001, may be worth a bet at 9/1. (Boylesports)
Our pick of tomorrow nights Carling Cup games sees Birmingham away to Sunderland. Birmingham look like a great bet at evens (Bet365) to win at Sunderland.
Another great game in the Carling Cup for Tuesday is Leeds United v Watford, Leeds have won the last 13 of 14 matches on their home ground so should have a great chance at beating Watford tonight. We predict that Leeds will win this game at 11/10. (Bet365)

Although Manchester United have lost a couple of key players; Ronaldo and Tevez they still look like the team to beat this season and the only weakness is the amount of players they have upfront. Maybe Michael Owen coming to United will provide them with the extra fire power to retain their Premier League Crown. However its likely that it will be a close run between Manchester United, (Bet365 2/1) Chelsea (Paddypower 2/1) and Liverpool (Eurobet 2/1) for that number 1 position at the end of the season.
Liverpool have lost Xabi Alonso in the transfer window but with United’s weaker team and Chelsea maybe only looking only for Champions League glory, Liverpool are in with a their best chance of finishing first.
Manchester City or Cashchester City with the amount they have spent whilst the transfer window has been open being backed by some to win the title (Paddypower 12/1) or at least get into the top four. (Eurobet 2/1) They have bought many great players so should win a fair few games this season that is if they play well together, they should finish in the top half of the table but we think its unlikely that they will be any competition to the top four until at least next season.
The only other teams with any chance of breaking into the top four are Spurs, (Eurobet 6/1) Everton or Aston Villa. (Eurobet 10/1)
At the other end of the table we reckon that Hull, (Bet365 10/11) Wigan (Eurobet 3/1) and newly promoted Burnley (VC Bet 1/2) are likely contenders to go down.
