Premiership Tips 28th – 29th November

November 27th, 2009 — 10:26pm

Fulham v Bolton

Fulham are in 10th place with only 1 defeat in the last 7 games where as Bolton have conceded 11 goals in the last 3 games. Our money is on Fulham for the home win at 10/11, (William Hill) we reckon the score will be 2-0 at 7/1 (Bet365)

Man City v Hull

Manchester City has drawn the last 6 games and Hull are playing more like they was at the beginning of the season. We’ll be betting on another draw for City at 5/1. (VC Bet)

Portsmouth v Man Utd

Man Utd have been playing well recently and seem to have luck on their side, Portsmouth’s new manager doesn’t start till next week. We’ll be going for the Utd win at 4/11, (Bet365) we reckon a good bet on the score would be 2-0 at 5/1. (Bet365)

Arsenal v Chelsea

This is the highlight of this weekends games. Since losing at Aston Villa, Chelsea has won their last 4 games without conceding any goals. Arsenal is still without Van Persie and lost to Sunderland last week without him. We’d have to put our money on the Chelsea win with a score of 1-0 at 7/1. (Stan James)

Everton v Liverpool

Both Everton and Liverpool are on a bad run at the moment, Everton were down 3-0 to Hull at half time in the week and only lost 3-2 due to an own goal and a penalty. Liverpool are out of the Champions League but we reckon they’ll bounce back in this game, we’re betting on the Liverpool win at 11/10 (William Hill) with a final score of 2-1 at 7/1. (Stan James)

Premier League Tips for 7th – 9th November

November 6th, 2009 — 8:04pm

Aston Villa v Bolton

Villa lost 2-1 against West Ham in the week and their form isn’t looking great. They have only had 6 points in the last 6 games which isn’t very encouraging. Bolton were doing ok before being beaten 4-0 against Chelsea last week. We’re going for a low scoring Bolton win at 4/1, (Paddypower) at 1-0 at 9/1. (bet365)

Man City v Burnley

After 4 draws in a row City must win this game against Burnley who still hasn’t got any points away from home. Even after last weeks display we reckon that City will hammer Burnley 3-0 at 8/1 (Bet365)

Wolves v Arsenal

Wolverhampton has drawn their last 3 matches and Arsenal are definitely on form at the moment. We will go for the Arsenal win with lots of goals at 3-1 at 10/1 (Sportingbet)

Chelsea v Man Utd

Definitely the highlight of this weekends games. This is always a hard one to call, Chelsea have won their last few games and form has been good. Utd were lucky mid week to get a draw in the last 6 minutes but overall in the Premier League have had 8 win out of 11 matches. We reckon Utd will pull off the win at 3/1. (Stan James)

Liverpool v Birmingham

Liverpool has had a bad run recently in the Champions League but should bounce back on Monday night. Last 3 visits to Anfield by Birmingham have ended in 2 draws and a win for Birmingham but we’re going to go for the Liverpool win this time around. If Liverpool don’t win this they might blow their chances of a top 4 finish this season, odds are 4/11 (Bet365) and we reckon the score to be 2-0 at 5/1. (Sportingbet / Boylesport)

Sundays Best Premier League Football Bets

September 19th, 2009 — 8:51pm

One of the highlights of Sunday’s games is the Manchester Derby with a win for either team taking them to the top of the table. Adebayor is staring a three match suspension for City and Tevez is still doubtful. We think it will be a close game but are betting on a Utd win of 2-1 at 7/1. (Bet365)

In the London derby we’re betting on a draw. Spurs have a good record against Chelsea in past matches and its likely they will come away from Stamford Bridge with at least a point. Our prediction is 1-1 at 7/1. (Sportingbet)

Top Football Bets for This Weekend

September 11th, 2009 — 6:01am

This weekend sees the first big test for Mark Hughes’s City after a great start to the season and not yet conceding any goals. City take on Arsenal at home that have scored most goals in the Premier League even playing one less game than the other teams. This should be prove to be great game but at this early stage in the season it’s hard to say which team will come out on top if any, we’re going for a 1-1 draw at 5/1. (William Hill)

In other Premier League games this weekend Stoke take on Chelsea at home. Chelsea is doing well this season with 4 games won and 10 goals with just 2 conceded. It looks unlikely that they will loose at the Britannia although Stoke do have a knack of winning home games so could be interesting. Still we will be going for the away win for Chelsea at 2-1 at 8/1. (Sporting Bet)

Other top games include Spurs against Manchester United. Spurs have won their last four games but have only played Liverpool from the top half of the table. Statistics show that Man Utd usually wins this fixture and Spurs haven’t had a victory since the 2000 / 2001 season. Tottenham are also without Luka Modric which could be a huge blow for them. We definitely predict a Utd win with a great bet going for correct score being 3-1 at 18/1 (Sporting Bet)

Weekend Football Betting Tips and Picks

August 28th, 2009 — 1:38am

The highlight of this weekend’s games is Manchester United at home to Arsenal. Rio Ferdinand is away at the back but going off previous games and united 5-0 away win against Wigan last week our pick is a home win for Man Utd at 11/10. (SportingBet) It shouldn’t be a high scoring match so a good bet would be 1-0 at 8/1. (Bet365)

Portsmouth are at home to Man City, should be an easy away win for City at 8/13 (VC Bet) as they have won both their last games even though it was close at Wolves last week. A good bet would be 0-2 to City at 6/1. (SportingBet)

Bolton have got Liverpool at home this weekend, both teams have had a pretty bad start to the season. Liverpool should bounce back from their two loses and may well do this in this game. We will be going with an Away win for Liverpool at 4/7. (Boylesports)

Football Betting Tips for Wednesday and Thursday Night

August 26th, 2009 — 8:23pm

Tonight Arsenal face Celtic in the Champions League. Arsenal managed two goals away from home last week so it’s likely they will win tonight at 2/7. (Sportingbet) It could be worth putting a little on Celtic in case they do get a few goals away from home at 8/1. (William Hill)

We predict 2-0 to Arsenal at 5/1. (Bet365)

In Thursday night Carling Cup games Tottenham look the obvious winners against Doncaster at 4/9. (Bet365) Should be an easy game with many goals for Spurs we predict 3-0 at 9/1 (Sportingbet)

In the Europa League tomorrow night, Everton should have no problems against Czech Republic against Sigma after winning the first match 4-0 at home. A win should be easy for Everton at 11/10. (Boylesport) May be worth a small bet on 2-0 at 10/1. (Sportingbet)

Top Bets for Monday 24th August and Tuesday 25th August

August 24th, 2009 — 8:03pm

There’s one Premier League match on tonight against Liverpool and Aston Villa. After already losing one game Liverpool will want the three points on offer tonight. In Villa’s previous game they put on a pretty bad performance so unless they improve dramatically tonight it looks like Liverpool will take the home win.

Liverpool is odds on to win at 2/5. (William Hill) If Villa improves their performance they may be in with a chance after their last win at Anfield in 2001, may be worth a bet at 9/1. (Boylesports)

Our pick of tomorrow nights Carling Cup games sees Birmingham away to Sunderland. Birmingham look like a great bet at evens (Bet365) to win at Sunderland.

Another great game in the Carling Cup for Tuesday is Leeds United v Watford, Leeds have won the last 13 of 14 matches on their home ground so should have a great chance at beating Watford tonight. We predict that Leeds will win this game at 11/10. (Bet365)

Premier League Betting Preview 2009 / 2010

August 12th, 2009 — 12:45am

Although Manchester United have lost a couple of key players; Ronaldo and Tevez they still look like the team to beat this season and the only weakness is the amount of players they have upfront. Maybe Michael Owen coming to United will provide them with the extra fire power to retain their Premier League Crown. However its likely that it will be a close run between Manchester United, (Bet365 2/1) Chelsea (Paddypower 2/1) and Liverpool (Eurobet 2/1) for that number 1 position at the end of the season.

Liverpool have lost Xabi Alonso in the transfer window but with United’s weaker team and Chelsea maybe only looking only for Champions League glory, Liverpool are in with a their best chance of finishing first.

Manchester City or Cashchester City with the amount they have spent whilst the transfer window has been open being backed by some to win the title (Paddypower 12/1) or at least get into the top four. (Eurobet 2/1) They have bought many great players so should win a fair few games this season that is if they play well together, they should finish in the top half of the table but we think its unlikely that they will be any competition to the top four until at least next season.

The only other teams with any chance of breaking into the top four are Spurs, (Eurobet 6/1) Everton or Aston Villa. (Eurobet 10/1)

At the other end of the table we reckon that Hull, (Bet365 10/11) Wigan (Eurobet 3/1) and newly promoted Burnley (VC Bet 1/2) are likely contenders to go down.
